Water will gather at the lowest point. Is your drive flat?

See if you can get it up on ramps and have a good look at the underside. There might be a plastic plug missing.

Open all the doors (including the tailgate) and have a good look underneath. Check that the door drain holes are not blocked or you could have a door which is half-full of water ... which...

Sounds like you may have a crack in the floor, friend of mine had the same a while ago.
It's nothing to do with it being a Corsa by the way!
Is the driver's footwell also wet?

thanks for the advice, yes the drivers floorwell is also wet but not as much as the back. the seals on the drivers window, seems to be a green colour (suggest algae) and the rubber is hard, we will check the door drainage holes. it dosn't have a sun roof and it is parked on a flat drive. the car is only a two door. any more advice will be apprieciated..
Check the spare wheel "well", check under the rear seats, there are plugs under the seat's that might have been dislodged.
After spells of really heavy rain the passenger side of my Vectra fills up with water. Really annoyed because it took me a year to dry it out after it filled up with water when the car park I left it in flooded and then the week before last after a night of heavy rain water was swilling around both nearside footwells.
