On 31 May 1922, Herbert Rowse Armstrong, a solicitor, was hanged at Gloucester Prison. The Executioner was John Ellis assisted by Edward Taylor. I knew one of the Armstrong children.
Made into a film in 1994 called "Dandelion Dead"
