Problem connecting to the internet
I have a Kobo Vox e-reader which connects to the internet by wifi.
Since I moved house a couple of months ago, I do not have a landline, so I get my internet connection to my laptop (Acer Aspire 5315 on Vista) by using a dongle (very pleased with that), but the dongle only gives a 3G connection which is no good for my Vox e-reader.
I decided to buy a TP-Link Wireless N Router (Model TL - MR3220 ) to set up a wifi network.
My problem is, that the router is set up OK, it states that I am connected to the internet with an excellent signal.yet my ereader says that even though it is connected, it is unable to open connection to server.
Also on my laptop there is a red X between my computer and the internet. I have activated the Windows Network Diagnostics but it says Windows cannot solve the problem and that I should contact my ISP.
I am obviously doing something wrong, and I wonder if there is an explanation that anyone could help me with.
Thanks in advance

Fitzer and RATTER15 - I have 2 dongles, they both work fine with the laptop, but when I connect one to the router, I cannot get an internet connection via wi-fi although I still have the 3G connection to my laptop.
Rojash and Chuck - when I go to the status page, on the part under 'wireless' it says that wireless radio is enabled, but the WDS status is disabled.
I don't know if this is anything to do with my problem as I am not very technically minded.
I have disabled the wireless security but I do not know how to check whether the laptop and e-reader are configured to match.
If I cannot get any joy with your suggestions, I think I shall have to ask my son-in-law, who is very computer literate, to have a look at it when we see them at Christmas
