Cat keeps peeing in the floor!

He's got access outside and a clean litter tray but the past 3 days he has peed on the floor, in the same spot. Thankfully it's laminate!

Any idea why he just started doing that. He never not used his tray before.

If the vet rules out a bladder infection, I'd bet my last £1 that it's to do with another cat, either lurking outside, or getting in through the cat flap (if that's possible). One of mine started doing exactly what yours is doing, many years ago, then I found another cat in my home. I immediately changed the cat flap to a magnet-only one and the problem stopped straight away.
