My friends and I are part of a non-profit organization called Soldier's Angels. We want to help crochet items for the wounded and expecting mothers. We were wondering if there were any people out there willing to donate yarn or any crocheting items like booklets or pattern ideas. Your help is greatly appreciated.

where would the yarn be collected? why don't you ask people to crochet something rather than send the yarn? what sort of crocheted item would expectant mothers need? or do you mean baby blankets etc?
Isn't this an American organisation, based there?
With very great respect, what crochet items do wounded soldiers use?
Oh i thought it mean wounded expectant mothers
He did say 'expecting mothers' too.
It does appear to be a US organisation, this is a UK site - how would we get wool etc to you? http://soldiersangels.org/about-us.html
I'm totally confused, as Wolfgang says why would wounded soldiers need crochet items.

Garcializ - am sure many would be willing to help but we need more info.
There's a German organisation too http://soldiersangelsgermany.blogspot.co.uk/
Here we go, here is a pattern for lap robes for wheelchairs, and where to send them http://soldiersangels...bog/BOGguidelines.pdf
