I will not bother with Windows 8 as I do not want to upset my laptop which is nearly 3 years old and running fine at present.
I would not spend money on it in view of its age but if it starts playing up I will buy a new one.
harman, there's a good two years of life in your laptop, no reason why it shouldn't be perfectly functional for another 4 years.
RAM is incredibly cheap if you need to update your memory.
I hope the 'free' downloaders of pirate copies of W8 get everything they deserve - endless malware, viruses to die for and some nice keylogging software to capture their passwords ...
People download pirated copies of windows then the bother to install anti-virus software onto them, bothering to put AV software onto something that has likely had a virus/malware put into it at such a low level is entirely pointless.
Just to make it funnier the same people would probably complain about how insecure windows is when all their banking details do get hacked!
