This man has been sevrely criticised for pulling an octopus out of the sea and taking it home to eat.

Some people appear to object because the octupus is a speceis known for its intelligence - measured to be on a par with pet dogs.

Old_Geezer - I think eating insects on live television for the amusment / repulsion of a live audience says more about the audience than it does about the insects.

Insects eaten by natural predators is the way of the world.

Just because insects are lower order animals which don't scream or bleed as they die does not justify this behaviour - it is uncivilised.

Let's hope than an alien species doesn't land here and think of us in the same way.
