For some reason,my computer has taken to re-starting itself about every 3-4 minutes - it is a Packard Bell desktop running Windows 7. It has done this 8 times so far, and when I started it up I got the black screen with "Start up repair (recommended) so I clicked on that and have been sitting with a black screen with the message "Windows is loading files". I have been sitting here for 25 minutes waiting for something to happen, and it hasn't! Do I just leave it, or should I try something else? Thanks anyone.

try going into windows restore to an earlier setting on a date before you started getting this
Question Author
Hi deggers -thanks for the help - but although I went into System Restore, the computer shut itself down before I had time to pick a restore date, and has gone back into the black screen with the " windows is loading files " again! D you think that I should leave it doing this or try to get into System restore again?
