After horrendous storms in Ibiza my satellite box isn't receiving anything, the one in the bedroom is working OK. They are both just standard ones. OH has replaced all the cables, the LNB is working fine, so any suggestions please as he is stuck there without me or Sky sports for another 2 weeks!! He says he has tried rebooting but still nothing, is it damaged ?

Make/model? Lots of dodgy power supply capacitors, mainly in Thompson and old Grundig Sky boxes, which fail. Lots of common failures, go look at the excellent Satcure website, but sounds like your box is knackered. If it's a multiple output LNB are you absolutely sure they are all working? swap cables over to see if one output is gone.

Yes cables and lnb all working.
Could the dish have been moved out of alignment by the storm?

It is well cemented to the roof, and I have another old box which is working OK. So I'll take the new HD out for him.
