Scrapbook

How would I go about making a scrapbook? I mean making the book not what to put inside a bought one! Where could I get the relevant materials from and what is best for the covers? Also, how would I bind it all together, I thought of sowing it with strong thread but havn't decided how thick it wil be yet, likely to be around 20 - 30 pages though.

the qvc site came up wrong! click on craft on the menu to the left and there is scrapbooking ideas and items to buy in there, they have a massive selection.
