Melons
33 Answers
I am having a dinner party on Saturday night. It's all going a bit t/up because I can't serve chocolate, game, fish or shellfish (my signature dishes!)
I've had a request for melon from my youngest guest (who is a very lovely 11 year old), so I thought I'd do melon for all of us. I'd like something a bit special though - perhaps with a sorbet, or a coulis - just something a bit "wow".
Suggestions, please.

It's an American one, "Bon Appetit", one to which I subscribe for recipes and restaurants and then adapted slightly, cleaning it up for my records as I can't stand "cups" etc ......
Another excellent site for good easy food, Stateside, is Martha Stewart's and, if you need to diet, Canyon Ranch is brilliant - I have four of their books here but many of the recipes are available on line.

sibs - brilliant! Barmaid, glad that this has happened even if you are mentally blown........things come in threes.
fgt, where are you coming from? - f-and-d is for passing fav recipes from all sorts of sources, mainly from recipes and from which many of us just tinker with and adapt.
Wake up MT too......your message borders on being in ijiut territory as virtually all of us start with something and play with it, according to taste.
