What is the Scottish equivalent of a plum pudding (Christmas pudding) (5.3.)

I would say a plum duff or clootie dumpling but that is not 5,3 so I'm sorry I can't help!

Scots would regard black bun as a cake not a pudding,but it fits!

The answer is obviously Black Bun, however this is a Hogmanay or Ne'erday fruitcake covered in puff pastry and as previously stated by Mazie and vakayu, a clootie dumpling ( a large suet fruit pudding boiled in a scalded cloth ) is much more likely to be classed as the Xmas pud equivalent.
