For about a month now I've had an on/off sore throat, I might go 3 or 4 days absolutely fine then the next it's a bit painful, not enough to bother the doctor with, more annoying really, and it seems to be more on one side rather than round the whole throat, this lasts for the day, then goes again.

Should I go to the docs, I do get acid reflux now and then, could this be the problem?

Indeed , acid reflux or GERD (gastro oesophageal reflex disorder) can cause unilateral (one sided) sore throat. If substantiated this can be treated by simple drug therapy.

Thanks sqad, I was getting a bit paranoid, especially as it is on one side. I'll book an appointment, I used to take Omeprazole that worked quite well if I remember rightly.

Thanks again.
