That way you won't be offended and your son won't have any problems. Tbh they probably wouldn't even notice if you defriended them though - they aren't notified, they would only notice if they looked for you in their friends list and you weren't there. Which could mean defriending or you could have deleted your account.

i had a pic removed once - it was an old 1970s cheesy album cover with a lady with her boobs on show... tacky and cheesey not porn or anything... but obviously someone saw fit to report it - i was gobsmacked but was never informed who did it.
