hard disc drives

is there such a component with a hard disc drive which would enable me to put my record collection onto for home use     this would go through my hi fi system instead of the cd player    this would enable to save space etc   it would have to sort the cds into alpha order      i assume this would be similar to a tv hard disc drive     must be hi fi size  not ipod or similar     40 to 80plus hard drive

why not plug the hi-fi straight into the pc and if you still want the pc speacker do a split cable

The best thing you could have is most probably the Sony HAR-D1000 Hard Disc Recorder. I Have one myself and they are fantastic. If you manage to get one let me know cos i bought mine of a friend and he has lost the software for the PC !
