Who has the least brains ?
34 Answers
Take the kids to see animals and then wonder why your small child gets niped by an animal you are holding food out to.
Just what does this man think?
"Jillian's father, Jamie Thomas, told local media the family were angry at the theme park for not warning them of the dangers of dolphin feeding."
Does he has a brain or is he more stupid than the animal being fed?
Just where has self responsibility gone these days?
Or does he small Compo?

I wonder how many children have got pleasure from feeding the dolphins and how often are children bitten?
You let your children feed animals, you expect there is a risk. You choose if you want to take that risk and warn your child accordingly.
I'm now trying to think of a toothless animal that would be safe to feed.
Maybe a Gummy-bear?

OK - in boring detail :
1. Dolphins are intelligent and should not be in captivity - and certainly not displayed for the gawping pleasure of mindless tourists - all of which was (rather more pithily) implied by my very first reply, which is a well known quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
2. It is (to me at least) repulsive to consider eating them - which is why I pointed out that JtP's recipe post referred to a fish not a dolphin.
3. My post about "feeding a bun" was intended to make a point (again in as few words as possible) that children feeding wild animals is inherently dangerous.
What exactly is crass about any of that?
I don't want to fall out with someone I have always considered 'one of the good guys', but I'm damned if I'm going to be insulted quite so randomly.

This sort of thing drives me insane.
Dolphins are wild animals and should not be in captivity.
They should NOT have interaction with the public, and this type of activity is wrong.
The dolphin was after the food. They use their mouths like we use our hands, to grasp things. If the dolphin had wanted to harm the girl it would have done.
It reminds me of a couple in the USA at a picnic site where brown bears would rummage through the garbage. They spotted a bear and thought it would be a good idea to smear their toddler's hand with honey so they could take a photo of the bear licking it off. They were mightily surprised when the bear bit the childs arm off.
