Just taken my dog out for his last walk of the day. Black ice everywhere, roads and pavement glacial; this is in S. Yorks,: How is it where you are?

Block of Flats between Tillet Rd and Tillet Rd East, I was single in those days!

Yes, so was I! Happy days!
Frozen in Bolton, just looked at the car, should have put a cover on the windscreen earlier, oh well get up early to defrost!
Not going out now, too warm and snug!
The good thing about living in Tillet Road these days would be that the most direct walk into the city centre would take you past the best real ale pub in East Anglia (where I'm planing to get slightly inebriated on Christmas Eve). I refer, of course, to the wonderful King's Head on Magdalen Street:

(On second thoughts though, I doubt that I'd ever reach the city centre if I had to pass the King's Head. I've often failed to reach Anglia Square because I'd spent too long in there!)
Was seriously cold in Craven Cottage tonight, and the lacklustre performance on the pitch did nothing to warm the spirits of the travelling Toon Army. Championship here we come at this rate...
Wish I could see out of our window to see if there is any ice/frost but we are always plunged in total darkness in our town from just before midnight and I just hate having no street lights on, as it really spooks me! We keep our Christmas outside lights on until we go to bed well after 1am, it looks so peculiar to see them twinkling away in the hedge surrounded by total blackness. A neighbour commented to me how comforting it was to see them.
Know it well Chris, and missing Anglian Square is no bad thing, unless it's changed.
Might be in the Kings New Years Eve, though the family live near the Black Horse.
Thought you came from Baldock Baldric.....
Anglia Square is a 1960s concrete architectural disaster and as tatty as ever. But it's got 3 or 4 charity shops in it (and several others nearby) and a 99p Store (and other 'cheapo' shops). It's great for bargain-hunting (and, indeed, for people watching!)
Hi rabet
Bit cold in Gorleston ..bldy freezing actually !
But ..It's going to to rise to the dizzy heights of 8C by Thursday.
All we've had is that awful easterly wind which blasts right up the lokes and right up your nether regions as well :)
Promised snow was a flash in the pan .

Hey, you've already passed Anglia Square if you reached the King's Head! How about the Whalebone; do you know it? Brilliant real ale pub. Glad to hear you will be in Norwich on Xmas Eve, but sorry that I will be leaving that morning to return to Yorks. Will you be there for a day or two before? If so we might meet up for a pint or two.

Not when walking from the rail station though (which also involves the effort of getting past the Glass House!)

I'll probably only be going up to Norwich on Christmas Eve but my plans might change, so I could possibly be there a bit earlier.

Used to work the door at The Complete Angler on match days if I was on leave, used to pay for my travelling.
