theres this guy at work ive got reli close to hes lovely n we get on really well and have a gr8 laugh the trouble is i think ive started to like him more than just a mate and for new year hes asked me to go out with him and his mates but hes taking a girl.We were chatting last night and he said to me "cant get jealous if i pull with her " but i think i sort of am already jealous. i don't think there is much point in dwelling on it do u think i should go out have fun and if he ends up with that girl well just ope he doesnt because he doesnt know her that well and is taking her out this friday 2 try and get 2 know her better i know this may sound horrible but im kind of hoping they dont get on because i love him to bits and well i kind of want to spend new year with him.

Go, look gorgeous, flirt with your friend and hope that he takes the hint. Snog him at midnight! If he is obviously with her, maybe get him on his own at some point and ask how "together" they really are.Maybe seize your courage with both hands and tell him how you feel, or hint at it. Say "are you and x an item now then?". He may be going with her either because there is nobody else around, or he might even be doing it to make you jealous because he actually likes you.

Either way, go and have as much fun as you can!

Hi pompomfairy. It sounds to me that he definitely likes this girl and is also aware that you have some feelings for him too with him mentioning about you not getting jealous and so on. I think the thing you've got to ask yourself is would you be able to handle it if he's snogging her at midnight when you want it to be you? If you can, then go out with him and his friends but if not it might be better to make other arrangements. There is nothing more crushing than watching someone you really like getting it on with someone else. Add alcohol to the equation and it can make you feel even worse. scarlett u make alot of sence, but i really dont know if he likes me that much back but he did ask me into town today it was gr8 we talking alot and just generally getting along really well and now we r talking on msn and it sounds really wierd to put this in but he never calls me babes or anything and he just did "hey babes u ok? x" its reli confusing. fatcat i dont think i cud bare to watch him kiss another girl even if it was down to the drink which im hoping it will b if he takes her to the new years thing. lollyhoney i thinku make sence to if he does like me like i like him he probabaley cudnt stand me pulling another guy let alone 1 of his mates haha i guess of i get any more responces in the next few days from him ill let u know
