30d and 55d answer with reference to Dickens - I arrive at BENJAMIN for 30d and letters : -R-T-I- for 55d.
I see an earlier suggested answer as 'BRITAIN' but I have googled and Jeeved finding no reference to a Benjamin Britain within the concept of 'Dickens' and so rather sceptical.
Can anyone confirm this answer and show the reference please. This is my last answer and I have exhausted almost a whole day searching for confirmation.
Now I know the true meaning of 'frustration'!!!
Many thanks in advance

'dickens' looks so sad in print! It is obviously Dickens, and today I picked up the subject of a correspondent referring to the 'titanic' We are all supposed to be clever people solving crosswords and puzzles, surely we can print the language we know perfectly!!
