absolutely hates going in her car seat. I have had 3 children and she is my 3rd grandchild but I really don't know how to deal with this problem.
Every time my daughter puts her in her car seat she screams the place down.
Sometimes she will settle down but most times she won't and quite often my daughter has to stop the car because baby is so distressed.
We have tried singing, dangling toys from the handle, all sorts of things but nothing works and the problem seems to begetting worse.
Any advice please?
With respect, I would treat it like puppy training. First check carefully that the seat has no sharp edges or pokey bits and is comfortable. Does she have a favourite toy or treat? Keep that toy or treat for the car seat. Indoors, put her in the seat and give the toy or treat. two minutes then out of the seat and put the toy away. Is there any way that she can go in the car and the seat less often over the next week or so?
Woofgang that's interesting I will ask my daughter if she's tried this.
Think she may have done this alwaysconfused but I will ask her. When school finishes for the holidays she probably won't need to go out as often.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if it resolved itself in time.
When my daughter was a baby I had to borrow a pushchair because there was a delay on the one I had ordered. She used to scream the place down when I put her in the borrowed pushchair, but when the new one arrived she was fine. She could be uncomfortable.
