Comedy Awards

I watch this program Wednesday night ( not my choice but I was on the computer so the wife had the choice 0f which programs to watch ) but if that was the best England as to offer God help us all, take these people away from a printed script and there useless. there was a funny bit was seeing the recipients getting on stage half cut, so what as happened to the comedy that used to make people laugh using fun, jokes and pure writing skill and not the reliance on the endless use of FOUR LETTER WORDS.

I amuse myself with OFAH and Fawlty Towers. 30 year old gags that I have seen countless times still make me laugh more than the dross they come out with these days.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by the so-called comedy in the Comedy Awards show. I found none of the clips shown in the least bit funny. I was disappointed for Sarah Millican that she didn't win in her categories - I do find her funny. But I can't stand Reeves & Mortimer, Sacha Baron Cohen, and don't get me started on Keith Lemon. Every time he appears on TV I just want to punch him.
I'm getting the Only Fools & Horses and One Foot in the Grave box sets for Xmas. Their writers knew what real comedy gold was.
