Electric Light Protector

I have fitted a small light under my stairs but keep knocking it and am worried I will damage the light + fittings. I think something like a supermarket basket in miniature would protect it. Any ideas how I can make one or buy one?

Why not replace the light fitting with a bulkhead one? You'd be able to bash your head all day long without damaging it! It would probably cost less than a flue basket (which would be too big anyway)...
