mine has got damp and therefore a bit smelly! How could i get rid of the smell short of bunging it in the washing machine?

Is it not machine washable? I usually stick mine in the washing machine.

Soak it in the bath with lots of hot water and bleach.

Sounds like you are hoping for a easy ''spray it with something'' answer, but you will just have to do some work and either chuck it int washing machine or scrub it down in the bath etc....
