I'm an avid reader but not one for following trends and dashing out to get whatever everyone else is reading (Da Vinci code etc)

But I've been looking at Audrey Niffenegger's Time Traveller's Wife - has anybody read it and is it as good as the reviews say?

I've read it twice. First time took about 2 days! as I was on holiday; couldn't put it down. I think the second time I read it was better as I did it much slower, over a couple of weeks. It is a love story based on a very clever idea which you will understand and ,on the whole, accept. I'd give it 8 out of 10. If it makes any odds, I have read in reviews that this is a girlie book. Well I'm a 46 year old bloke and loved it.
It takes a bit of getting into but it is one of the best books that I have read this year, the end made me cry. I am now looking forward to the film
Like you I don't follow trends when reading books (I've not read the Da Vinci Code - though I'm sure I'll get round to it), but I loved Time Travelers Wife. My friend who is an AVID reader has declared it her favourite ever book!

Have now read a few other 'reviews' of it on here, and considering I got some book tokens for Chrimbo, I'll guess I'll go and get it!

Thanks chaps!
