That is rather a sexist statement to make, it would seem that one is not safe from either males or females, the most recent murder is this one, which allegedly committed by both a male and female.

Since most murders take place in the home, surely it's safer in the park than staying at home.

When I was young I lived near a park (over 30 years ago) and we were not, under any circumstances, allowed there without an adult. It was nicknamed 'The Rapecourse'

That park is much safer now.

There was a very thoughtful interview on R4 recently where a young black admitted that he and his mates had become desensitised to extreme violence by their home backgrounds being so poor with violent and abusive fathers. This also happens to other groups I guess. Until some way is found of breaking the cycle vile attacks will occasionally happen. I have been threatened by a gang in Tower Hamlets.
