Er....lots of jets already travel at twice the speed of sound. Tornado, F15, Mig 29 etc plus also of course Concorde (RIP). Could this be a mistaken reference to the scram jet, which I think did more like five times the speed of sound over the Australian desert for a few seconds? And I bet it cost more than �10m!
