Thanks everyone. He has just gone off for an ultrasound before surgery and i am starting to panic a bit now. I have sorted uni out for now an he seems quite happy about the whole thing a long as his stomach and bowels stop hurting. He is also burning up...not eating (so there must be something wrong) and looks terrible. Poorly thing....sorry for any typos....am on my phone x
Hope he gets well soon.
awww Lisa, the poor lad.
As soon as he's round from the anaesthetic, he'll be starving so then you'll know he's fine again.
Hope he's much better and quickly xxxxx
Gosh...poor thing. Try not to get too stressed, they do this op loads of times a day xx
Get well soon lcg junior and ((HUG)) to Mum too.
Gosh Icg - they always say "it never rains but it pours". hope he feels better soon, my niece had it a few years ago, was sore for a few days but soon recovered. Thinking of you x
Nothing to worry about as they have caught it in time, a burst appendix is when you get concerned - happened to a mate of mine down here - had the front line medics in twice and was told "you have a bloated stomach" and it had burst when he got in to Treliske, so all the joys of the clean up - and then he was in ICU with pneumonia.

You aren't at that stage lcg, he'll be back on his feet and home in no time and he'll catch up with the Uni work/exam quickly; he won't be out partying for a few days so it's a good time to nail term papers etc.

Hi. I know the OP is.pretty routine, but I am such a worrywart! He is sleeping most of the time (ESP. The last four days) so hasn't done much.exam prep anyway. He is quite I'll....never mind the not eating business.....he looks a strange shade of puce!!!!! X

(That was meant to be jovial to try to lighten your worry) xx
Oh, we'll done to him for the Bike Test. I did it a few years ago, but it's much harder now.

The op will be fine.

OH had a burst appendix, he'd taken his mate down to swansea in a van to help their daughter move furniture. Came home and went to bed, said he felt really ill. He looked in too. The next morning he was rushed into hospital and operated on. Hope the boy recovers soon, glad he passed his test before that happened. Will they hold his exam at uni?
