no....it's just plain weird. little girls can mimic their mothers with a normal doll, imo. it's amazing the expensive, plastic crap that people buy their children....x
I am with you on the point that an expensive doll is not needed to allow children to mimic the most natural thing in the world....However , would we also then roll that premise out to all role play toys.
I bought my 2 year old Grandson a toy Vacuum cleaner and mop and bucket and my Granddaughter a toy Post Office this Christmas.

I don't think it's necessary, little girls who have seen their mother's or others breastfeed mimic that with a normal doll, so this is all a bit ' extra'. I don't find it shocking or repulsive just don't think kids need it to play, they'll do it with normal dolls.
