I have total sympathies with you....it is evil.

A menthol decongestant may relieve symptoms especially if steamed in a hot water bowl with a towel over your head but chances are you might have to go to the dr's to get some antibiotics.....i did !

You're also more likely to get future sinus problems if you get sinusitis.

Good luck and best wishes....there's nothing worse than walking around feeling like your face, eyebrows and ears are going to explode

Thanks, the funny thing is it is just on my right side so the left is unaffected - which I guess is because just one passage is affected. Not sure I like the sound of me having it again - is there anything you can do to prevent this? I mean is it brought on by sniffing excessively when having a cold? My sister said tapping where it is may releive it or help to reduce it - does anyone else know about this?

An old remedy but it works vicars. Pour 1 pint of tepid water into a basin or small bowl, add just 1/4 teaspoon salt and stir. Whilst holding one nostril in, scoop up a palmful of the water (Bit messy) and sniff it up your open nostril and hold your head back. You'll feel the solution reach the sinus cavities, repeat then do likewise with the other nostril. Get ready to spit out the debris!.

Hello there, after years of sinus problems, I have just discovered echinacea. It is a herbal supplement to bost the imune system and it has made a fantastic difference to me. Hope you feel better soon.
any antihistamine will open up the soft tissue passages and assist with drainage and sinutab also has a pain killer in it (paracetamol) usual caveats, read the instructions befor taking the medication, do not use if sensitive to any ingredient, do not overdose esp on paracetamol containing meds, if no better in 2 or three days, see your doc
I have had sinus problems for years and have recently discovered a wonderful supplement that helped inceredibly - it is echinacea. I take quite a large amount and it has most certainly made a big difference. Hope you feel better soon.

Sudafed or Sinutab from the chemist. try not to take antibiotics, it only suppresses it in the system and it comes back with a vengeance. Also, it is linked to eating too much dairy produce.

Hi, Well Fina's idea is correct but the method can be improved upon, washing the sinus's out with salt water works really well, See THIS site for how to do it. Yeah it looks yuck! but from personal experience I definately suggest that you give it a try, maybe you can't get a neti pot but you can easily make a substitute from things you find around the kitchen/bathroom. If you can get it, also add 1 drop of ''tea tree oil'' essence to the bottle before use, this is a mild variant of the eucaliptus family which is a great natural antifungus/antibiotic - DON'T use any other oil or additive in the salt/water mix !!!

I have just read in this Forum about Echinacea.I want to try this.I am suffering from Sinu for years and it is destroying my eyes/nose/ears and temporarry cure of Antibiotics have just destroyed my immune system. Please let me know from where I can get this medicine.I am residing at India.

Thanks in advance,

I'll be extremely grateful to you if I will able to get rid from this.
