He was a fine journalist, writer, and broadcaster. And at 93 had a good innings. RIP.

Nobody else think his passing worth mentioning?
Ive never heard of him.

Good enough reason to be indifferent to his passing.
He used to do the election summaries and also worked for granada i think at one point i thinks didn;t he?
I googled him but didn't recognise him, although he seemed to have presented programmes that I don't watch.
sorry, I don't know who he is.
Question Author
He wrote a few books on the Troubles and presented television programmes about Irish history.
^ O - I take that back - Robert Kee - RIP indeed. Apologies, I was googling Robert Keerip :-(
Had to look this one up Sandy but he appears to have been a highly thought of writer. Read a quote: "The three volumes of 'The Green Flag' were the first books on Irish nationalism that I read from cover to cover when I was 13 or 14. His writing style was absolutely brilliant, as was his scholarship." Read he also campaigned for the release of the Guildford Four, the Maguire Seven and the Birmingham Six.
Feel I should know much more about him considering his distinguished career but sadly there seems to be a great gap in my knowledge.
