A Question About Related Questions.

Smowball has just posted in Weather about the snow today and I responded.
Then I noticed the same subject had already been posted in Chatterbank but it didn't show as a related question at the end of Smowy's post, so my question is,
Does it only show up in Related Questions if posted in the same category?

I posted a question about related questions earlier today in site suggestioins and it hasn't shown up on here! Silly idea these related questions imho.

Even without the 'no' the link answered the question.
I'm actually surprised you needed to ask the question, all you had to do was click on a related question to see if it opened up in a different topic.
