Or anything that would make life more comfortable for these dogs, beds, duvets, and blankets are invaluable to give them some sort of protection against the cold, blankets, tent canvas and waterproof sheets are used to plug the holes to stop the wind and rain coming through.
So, I've got to email an 'unknown' address to get an address to send my donation to, IN ROMANIA, why not just put up the address in the first place.
Whilst I do not like to think of any animal suffering, do we not have more than enough needy dogs in this country, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2254729/RSPCA-destroys-HALF-animals-rescues--thousands-completely-healthy.html
to mention just one story.
Should we not be doing more for UK based animal charities rather than looking abroad for a good cause?
Pretty soon we'll be supporting great numbers of Romanians with or without their dogs right here in the charity case known as the United Kingdom. I would rather give my old towels, blankets and sheets to a worthy cause here, I really do have some to give away.
Designed to tug at the heartstrings ladybirder, but when you consider that all our own animal charities are up to their ears in unwanteds animals and little money to cope with, which do you feel you should support.
But these are here now, ayg, in our rescue centres. You can't give money to the rescue centre and say I only want it to benefit the 'native' dogs, I wouldn't have the nerve.
Of course the ads are designed to pull heart strings and it works. As far as adopting one, it would be the one most in need no matter where it came from, as long as it got on with my dog savvy cat.
They were not asking for money in the first instance, although I did sent a donation as I didnt have any dog coats and blankets, duvets would have cost too much to post - everything is being sent to an address in Kent and a tranport run from Kent to Romania next week.
If you dont want to help, and are happy to support your local charity thats absolutely fine by me. I just felt that these dogs are living in extreme cold and have little, or nothing to keep them warm, and thought some nice kind people may have some old dog coats etc that they dont need. The lady who is collecting the items ready for the transport run lives in Kent, and although she is happy to give her address via email, she naturally doesnt want it publicised on the internet.
I tried emailing the link to donate dog coats etc. but I didn't get anywhere, I dont know what my hhtp link is, I am obviously not computer literate enough. Can you advise please
