I'm quite new to freecycle and have only recently put my first message on. It is for a WANTED item. It got published on Thursday but I can't work out if I have any responses to it!!

Do I just log in and then see them? If so where?
Or Do I get an email as a direct response? If so what will the title of the email be?

I can't believe that no-one would have responded to my email so am starting to wornder where I should be looking!!! All help gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

In my group, you get emails. It may be that no one has what you want.
Also in my group, you are asked that your first post should be an offer and not a want, so are you sure that your post got posted?
not sure how youve set it up but, I used to use freecycle to offload stuff and it would appear on the site (yahoo groups) and I told the group in settings to email me every message.

i know that some freecycle sites no longer use Yahoo groups so not sure how they work , but i'd be suprised if they didnt have some sort of email message forwarding/notification facility when a reply is received

Sounds like Freegle. With that I get responses direct to my inbox.
'my mail or post' is up there
Hi,
I believe that if it's your first message then the 'Admin' people 'vet' it and when they consider that all is fine then they 'release' it after, that it's straight on and 'freegle' away!
Try and put something 'in' as well, and be patient.
Why don't you send yourself a response and see what happens!
Cheers

Thanks for all suggestions folks! Yep as you say folks as it's a request for a wanted item it just looks like no-one has responded yet. I have just clicked on respond and sent the message "test" and low and behold it appeared in my email inbox shortly after that. So thanks everyone, will repost it in a couple of days. Cheers : )
