/// Cameron said the attack had involved up to 30 terrorists and it illustrated that terrorism was a growing problem in north Africa. ///
Should Cameron be more concerned with fears much closer to home?
Instead of employing our ever decreasing number of troops overseas, perhaps they should be protecting our own citizens, or are we to be as laid back to threats to our country as we were in the 30s?
Are our Border Agencies up to the job of protecting our borders, or should we be employing the experts?

// In damning evidence Baroness Manningham-Buller told Sir John Chilcot's inquiry: "Our involvement in Iraq radicalised, for want of a better word, a whole generation of young people - not a whole generation, a few among a generation - who saw our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan as being an attack on Islam."
She said MI5 had to have its budget doubled after the conflict because of the huge surge in the terrorist threat - which had, she said, been "almost overwhelming".
She said the overthrow of Saddam Hussein had allowed al-Qaida to establish itself in Iraq for the first time.
In 2002, a year before the invasion, the intelligence services had rated the direct threat from Iraq as low. But she said the conflict had "substantially" increased that threat.
"What Iraq did was produce a fresh impetus to people prepared to engage in terrorism", she went on. //

and they killed indiscriminately which is what terrorists do. stop making excuses for these people. As Naomi has said any number of times, they are madmen, intent on wreaking havoc not just on the west,
they kill their own citizens, men, women and children for wanting a better life, for their children to be educated. they are mired in some might say mediaeval mindsets, but it's far worse than that. Had we never had involvement in any of the countries you have repeatedly said, then i am sure that we will still have misguided individuals who think that all western peoples are decadent and barbaric. You don't have to look far
to see that there are some men and women in Britain who hate us, even those who were born and raised here, long before our involvement in Afghanistan or Iraq. Why would they not go to another place that fits in with their skewed ideology, because they won't. Have your cake and eat it comes to mind.

Gromit, don’t make the mistake of assuming these people are endowed with rational thought processes. They're not, and they're not fighting the war you think they're fighting. Their war goes a lot further back than that. They're fanatics and their sole intention is to destroy the west and to achieve world domination. They don’t want your ‘tolerance’ or your understanding. They want you subservient – or dead.
so right Naomi, if i didn't think that way i wouldn't say it, and for heavens sake look at those killed in 7/7, 9/11, they came from every part of the globe. Had the terrorists wanted to truly target Britain, why didn't they do it where it truly matters, at the heart of our democracy, Parliament, Downing Street. No they stick bombs on trains and buses which anyone can use, including their Muslim brothers and sisters. If they had respect they wouldn't have done that.
no it isn't, on tv last week there was a little snippet called thought tv, channel 4, they had a whole week of these 5 minute programmes, on does Sharia law have a place in Britain, so far so good. Opponents as well as for gave their two pennies worth. One man who was most definitely for, said that he wanted to see Sharia law the only law in Britain, and that he wants it to be world wide. He wasn't the only one saying this, nor indeed is this the first time, second time or more have i heard someone speak this way, in Britain, right now. Not just Sharia law, but that women have no place in the workplace, education, that men rule hearth and home and that is the end of it. Fabulous isn't it, that it's taken all this time for Britain to get ahead of the game, a degree of equality for women, and now we have people like this, living here, who do think this way, and have introduced their ideologies to Britain. into the Mosques, schools, and every day life. I object strongly to having halal shops on my doorstep when no others are available, so if you think it's not having an impact, that there aren't many who want to change the face of Britain then it's you who are sadly deluded.
/// Your world domination theory is nuts. ///
