At times he is very, very funny...used to love him on Shooting Stars.

Apparently he was excellent in Benidorm, but never saw it.

I think his "Johnny Vegas" character is an act.

In the same way that Katie Price's "Jordan" is an act.

And Bob Monkhouse "quiz host" character was an act.

And Robbie Williams "cocky jack the lad" is an act.

Many TV people put on a "mask" when they go on TV or into films etc.

he isn't stupid, you have to get his type of humour, in pretty much the same way as Ross Noble, who is a very clever, a sometime mindbending comedian.

QI = trashy show for never-make-it has-beens chaired by similar twerp.

no it's not, most of the people who appear on the show are top flight comedians, sean lock, alan davies, rob bryden, all funny blokes, as to Stephen Fry, one of the cleverest blokes around.
