Fasting glucose--6.3 (5.5 --6.0)
2 hour glucose test complete 7.7
I am impaired at 7.8!
Doctor has given me 6 mth reprieve, no medication till next check up in 6 mth. What can I do to help myself. Have no diet sheet, and been told to take less sugar, get plenty of excercise.

I have been diabetic for 14 years, had to have medication from start have managed it well with my knowledge having worked in medicine I can recommend you have Brown bread, warburtons and alison good if you look
on bread contents all have some sugar but some a lot, also porridge is excellent as long acting which is same for Apples, the best veg is Leeks which has an effect on controlling blood sugars as does onions. I have a normal diet without a lot of cakes etc do have some good biscuits best thing is to have regular meals . All the best

Doctor said to not go on a diet as i am quite slim, but, to take smaller meals etc. Dont have a sweet tooth thank god. So leeks are a good veg/Will buy some when out shopping today. Its made me think twice now what I eat, but is difficult as i havent got much of an appetite like mr puss. Will try and read labels and definately cut down on sugar. Have cut sugar by half that I normally have in porridge. Yuk, hope to get used to it soon.
