Position Of Icons On Desktop - Help!

Hi

My icons were up the left side and along top. I did something with my mouse! and now they are in three rows down left hand side!

How do I get them back to the original postions?

Left click mosue on the icon and whilst still holding down the mouse click, drag the icon to the position you desire.

click and drag on any one (i.e. keep the left mouse button held down while you move the mouse) to move it to where you want the icon to be

you can also click and drag out an area around several to select all of them and them click on any one and drag the whole lot as a group
