64Gb Micro Sd Card Not Being Recognised By 2.3 Google Android Tablet

I have a 2.3 Google Android Tablet and bought a 64gb micro sd card which I downloaded some films to from my laptop but when I put the micro sd card into my Tablet it is not recognizing it and I cannot view the films but when I use an adapter with the micro sd card slotted into it I can view the films, I also want to use the micro sd card for extra memory.
Can anyone help me fix this?

A quick web search suggests that your tablet may only support a maximum of 32Gb with the Micro SD slot, but I can't find any definitive information. Perhaps it's in the manual?
