Car Insurance
Someone damaged my car about a year ago. He hit my car and did not leave a note with his details.
I reported this to my insurance company. I did not make a claim to get this repaired.
I rang my insurance company a few days ago to report a small 'Prag' i had with another car and they told me that the previous claim was still open.
Would this affect the cost of my insurance as I think I am paying alot of money. I am currently paying £75 per month.
I am wondering whether i should ring them to say I never made a claim.

Dont give them that unless the Police find any evidence of the offender. seems stupid but thats life.
Insurance companies will usually set up a claim if you ring to report an incident as this is how they go about logging the information. Tell them that you don't intend claiming for the first incident and then they will close it off with no payment. They shouldn't then take this incident into account when calculating your premium but you can always ask them whether they have or not.
