Climbing Perennials

Any ideas on a quick growing climbing perenial. (Evergreen if poss) but NOT ivy! Thankf

Clematis - we have a bog standard pink clematis growing over our shed - it's hard to stop the pesky thing from taking over the neighbour's shed too.

Russian Vine (mile a minute) is also a stock answer. The rampant clematis montana is deciduous.

Prudie isn't Russian vine a real problem as it gets out of control so quickly? I'm not totally sure if this is true ... What have you found?

Frank that honey suckle looks very good! Dies it grow quickly? Can I plant from seeds?

I'm afraid I don't know much about it, I was just searching to see if my mum's Hoeysuckle was evergreen or not and came across the one in the link, so thought it might fit the bill.

It does appear to be a fast grower though!

Russian Vine is known for that yes eve.

White ( summer) Jasmine can go rampant. Very sweet-smelling flowers, too. But not evergreen.
But the blue-flowered ceanothus grows extremely fast - mine grew from seed to a 10ft diameter ball in about 10 years. This should be evergreen.

Unfortunately any quick growing climber is likely to become a problem eventually. It doesn't know when to stop being a quick growing climber you see! But clematis is so pretty its worth it and fairly easy to trim back when you need to.

Russian Vine can become very problematic unless what you want to cover is very large and is not however evergreen.

Clematis armandii is one of the few evergreen Clematis if you have a sheltered spot for it.
