Where the hell did that last tirade of abuse come from? That was completely unprovoked. I AM trying to find a resolution to all this, yet strozzi, drochit and, most suprisingly of all AB Ed all saw fit to stick the boot in once again. There is absolutely nothing in my last post to warrant this. Einstein claims to have posted an apology to me at some time, an apology I have never seen. I asked to see it, that's all. Don't you realise that you are just making the situation worse? If I'd said to you what you have just said to me, I'd have been accused of abuse and would have had my profile deleted.

Tj, you claim to be seeking a resolution, yet there isn't much evidence of this. That is why I think people have reacted. What will it take for you to end all this? However, I do think there is some truth to his/her last post in that those responses do seem largely uncalled for. Strozzi says it's easy enough to ignore threads like this. I can't help but think that maybe you should have taken your own advice if that's how you feel. Some of drochit's comments can be interpreted as insulting and, as Tj said, if s/he had said these things s/he would have been deleted. That's not to say that Tj should be able to abuse users, but some of you do seem to be goading him/her and using language which would upset you if it was used against you.

I've seen this dispute grow from quite early on. Let me say straight off that I believe it has gotten completely out of hand. I cannot be sure who started the hostilities or why, but I can say that I have had one run-in with Einstein myself, who made some comments against me that were so outrageous that I would have sued for libel if our real names had been used. Yes, they were that bad and yes, I was that angry. They were probably worse comments than anything he has said against you, Tj. So I do understand where you are coming from. I didn't receive an apology even though I think I probably deserved one, but the comment was deleted and for me, that was the end of the matter. Both Einstein and I got back to using the site for its proper purpose. There's no real point in dragging things out. If you are holding out for an apology then that's your perogative, but if you want my advice, end this quickly. You've made your point and had ample opportunity to put your side of things across. Please go back to doing what you do best, answering people's questions.

Ok, I've had time to read the last few answers and reflect upon things. I am willing to accept that Einstein has posted a full and frank apology for his initial abuse towards me somewhere on this site, maybe some time ago, and that I must have missed it. In which case, apology accepted and I consider the matter resolved. I'm sorry that this has been dragged out for so long and that so many people have become involved.

I have read with interest both your comments (Tj) and those of other contributors. I also have the benefit of having read both your and Einsteins postings elsewhere. The one thing that I and others understand is that you and Einstein have a grievance. Once this was aired in public there was bound to be a variety of opinions; there will be a number of people who want to make a point quite forcibly and others who join in just to make mischief. I firmly believe that your contretemps could, and would, have been far better resolved off site. My considered opinion is that this could have been achieved by email via the site editor, who would have been able to mediate. That way other Answerbankers would have been spared involvement.
Two things please me. Firstly, that your last posting indicates that you are willing to bring this matter to a close, and secondly, that Einstein has had the grace to stay away from this latest debate.
My wish for the future is that we will have fewer, or none, of this type of posting and that the site can resume it's more pleasant manner.
