I freely admit to having had the odd puff [three] whilst I was in Thailand but other than that nothing. I do however put my success down to vaping lol As someone pointed out to me, it's not so much giving up but changing brands...to one that won't kill you!

A friend of mine who was giving up smoking used to look for people smoking in the street and follow them so she could get a whiff of the smoke. I thought that might be 'vaping'. :o)

I've often thought it'd be a good idea to have a sticky in say H&F about quitting smoking, so we can give each other moral support. There's one for losing weight so I don't see why not.

Think someone the other day was asking if there was such a thing- possibly Voulez Vouz? Who's on (if she's still going strong) day 17 now :-)

Well done on giving up. I am now in my 4th year and am genuinely thankful I have up, not least because of the money I am saving :)

I dont follow you - what do you mean that you will cancer free - did you have cancer previously ?

Hi Bazile, yes I did. I had cancer of the cervix and was diagnosed just before Christmas 2011.... hence the trying to live a healthier life style... the stopping smoking is about all I have managed though lol

Well done I gave up 13 years ago when there was no vaping around but I know how hard it was to give up so well done again :)

Hi Kiki, I have mentioned further back in the thread I am a confirmed vaper! Have a look at the links put up by Boo and myself for a better idea of what it involves. It means you get all the fun bits with out the killer chemicals and nasty smell.
