Quote from The Complete Record of the FA Cup by Mike Collett, World Football Editor at Reuters Sportsbooks Ltd 2003 p790
"Played for Two Clubs in the Same Season"
"Stan Crowther, who played for Aston Villa against Man Utd in the 1957 Cup Final played for both Villa and Man Utd in the 1957/58 season. He was signed by United after the Munich Air Crash in February 1958 and was allowed by the FA to play in cup-ties, even though he had played for Villa earlier in the competition."
