yes - the leading light of the group had a name that didn't fit with a group of "lads" and was instead known by the initial letter. i'm inclined to rhink his name was trevor and he was called "T" by the group - i could be wrong but it was something like....

the play featured in series 1 of "shades of greene" broadcast in 1975 and was based on a 1954 graham greene short story called "the destructors".
