New Washing Machine .. Help.
49 Answers
... Please
there are four transit screws to be removed
one has come out - the other three have loosened and extended, but i cannot pull them out
i am assuming they were to stop the drum from moving or rotating however, as the drum can now rotate .. would it be ok to leave the three screws as they are - sticking out?
(i really am a complete novice at DIY)

To make it easier get an open end spanner large enough to go round the bolt but smaller than the head. Place it behind the screw head so that you can apply some pulling force while turning the screw.
I also suggest trying to screw the bolt back in for a bit. If the threads engage again then you know the fixing position had been cleared earlier and you may just need to unscrew again and wiggle the bolt loose.
As for cutting the fixing bolts, I needed mine when I transported my machine for repair last year so I would be reluctant to cut them. Hope this helps.
