Has it? I've heard that breweries used to make a weaker version of their beers and lagers for the Summer months, but that would have been before we had labelling of alcohol content.

I'm surprised the type of people who drink bud know or care about this!

alot of breweries use the same recipe and water it down to make beers of less strength. A classic example is Courage Directors/Best; same beer different ABVs.

I suppose as long as the brewers is sticking to the ABVs as advertised with the product then all is well - I guess this isnt the case here.

Agree, Duncer. I'm surprised it is allowed to call itself beer; that's Americans not knowing beer from lager, not that it's classically made lager; and still more that it's Budweiser, the name of a classic lager which the Americans "borrowed"and then sued the original Budweiser brewery for calling the original product Budweiser.
