When using my computer I am asked to install ADOBE FLASH PLAYER. I follow instructions and install AFP. Comes up with message FINISHED. Go in again and am told to install AFP. Going round in circles - what is the cause and more important what is the remedy.

Many thanks in advance,

I answer this one roughly weekly!

Flash Player has stopped working on your computer. (It just has a nasty habit of doing that; don't ask me why!). So you're told to download it. But your computer sees that the program is already there and doesn't properly install it.

Here's the solution:
Go to Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features, depending upon your version of Windows) from the Control Panel.
Find and remove Adobe Flash Player Plug-in
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
Reinstall Flash Player from here:

That's unusual. As I've indicated, I've been offering this solution at regular intervals for several years and yours is only the second time that it's not worked :(

Try running System Restore (from Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools in XP - or from somewhere similar in other versions of Windows) to take your computer's registry back to a date just before the problem occurred.
