quick one guys drove the wifes daewoo maiz 1.0 the shop this morning,got to a juntction pushed clutch in heard a sort of crak noise,clutch never come back up,car cut out,got out kneeled in grabbed clutch pedal which seemed to be all floppy....new clutch was put in at xmas time....??

Probably the clutch cable has snapped or become unattached.

Had an Escort with the same problem. The washer round the outer clutch cable had pulled through the bulkhead therefore giving no tension on the inner cable.
Was the thrust bearing replaced at the same time as the clutch? Thrust bearing collapse could give the same symptoms. It should be done as a matter of course when the clutch is replaced.
