How To Keep
23 Answers
Hydrated ? I am constantly getting awful headaches through dehydration and I just cant seem to keep on top of my water intake to the point I feel like I am drinking water all day. Trouble is Im hardly feeling thirsty so have to force myself to drink, Im suffering from dry lips, dry eyes and these headaches that no painkiller will get rid of. Im not diabetic. But suffering from bad night sweats even though its been sub-zero temperatures outside. I dont drink alcohol in the week at all, the odd glass of wine at the weekend, just stick to water and the odd cup of tea/coffee.

Part of it is related to my rhumatoid arthritis but I also have Meibomian Gland disease (the oil is thicker than it should be and clogs and blocks the ducts in my eyelids and causes problems with the layers on the eye which keep moisture on it).
As I have the arthritis and also a really dry mouth they also think I might have Sjogrens Sydrome.
Being in an area with no fresh air and heating on makes it worse.
I have preservative free (for long term frequent use) eye drops ad lubricant and an eye bag to heat up the oil to unblock the eye ducts and on a long term course of antibiotics for the same thing.
Could be worth having your eyes checked by a proper eye doctor to check for dryness (they usually stick orange dye in your eye and use a slit lamp to show up dry patches) and an indication of the reason why.
Depends on the reason why but there are a variety of options available.
