Pregnant?
Hello, I was wondering if anybody could help me asap. Im 16 years old, and im thinking i may be pregnant. I split up with my boyfriend on the 30th November 2005. The last time i had sex was about a month before we split up. We did use a condom. I had a period last month, in November. However it was very light, and only lasted a couple of days. I have not had a period since. I am now 23 days late, and on the way up to my next period. I am considering going to the Doctors tomorrow, but i am terrified if i am pregnant.
One more point to add...towards the end of October, beginning of November, i went for a week without eating...for no reason in particular, i just didnt feel hungry. I lost weight through this time. Since then i have improved my eating habits, but i am binge eating quite alot. Have my irregular eating habits had any effect of my irregular periods??
Any comments would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks so much xx

If not then straight to your GP.Dont hang about. It could be stess and your erratic eating habits but dont waste time wondering.Good Luck and be careful in future - I'm not preaching but I have a wee girl your age and I know she wouldnt initially confide in me although we are tight.xx
The slightest little thing can sometimes throw off you period pattern and periods don't actually have a patten until you are about 21. They are still in their settling phase. I can sometimes not have one for about 3 months but I know my body and know that its like this. ( I am 21 by the way).
I suggest you buy a pregnancy test or get down to your GP or family planning clinic as the tests will be free there and they will keep it confidential.
The sooner you find out about this the better. This isn't one of those things you can ignore. Good Luck hun. xx
My guess is- you are not pregnant. If you have been not eating the chances are you have messed up your system a bit. Also you are quite young, and periods are often not that regular for the first few years. If you had a light period, the chances are this is a period and you are not pregnant, but it was light because of your eating.
Superdrug do an own brand of pregnany test which is good- a blank box for no and a blue line for yes. It is only a fiver- get one and put your mind at rest!
Once you've sorted out the pregnancy issue as the others have given such good advice about, please see someone about your eating. I'm 30 and spent most of last year in therapy for binge eating disorder. i'm well on the way to recovery now, but I've had 16 years of hell with food problems and if only I knew then what I know now!
Know that whatever happens you will be fine, and I know at 16, 30 sounds very old and it's difficult to relate to, but if you can conquer any eating problems while your young, your life will be a happier and better one.
Good luck sweets.x
